Michael the bartender has no idea he is serving a seriously well learned beer connoisseur; self-taught of course. House of Beer in Dundedin, Florida is the establishment I frequent when drinking for reviews it’s a quaint establishment in a nice town half full of retired folks, and half blue collar working brutes. Not the biker type brutes at bars my old man used to drag me around to in Little Rock. But this isn't about that.
Today, I drank the House of Beer What The Fuck Happened Stout, and it is a damn good beer. Weighing in at 6.6% A.B.V. it certainly holds its own as a stout something not commonly seen. The taste is very dry with a malty profile best described as full body.
The bartender is short maybe 5' 6'' 150lb at the most. Wearing a tie-dyed shirt and a backward tie-dyed hat; a very slender dude. He is a witty fellow and very personable; always quick with a joke. I don't think he knows how to feel about someone drinking and taking copious notes. He must believe I'm some kind of freaking health inspector documenting his every mistake. That's all for now.
The beer and bar are a fun place, and recommended to all serious beer drinkers.
